Three youths including woman arrested for threatening and robbing doctor at lodge 

KOZHIKODE: Three youths including a woman were arrested for threatening and robbing a doctor with a machete at a lodge. Mohammad Anas EK (26), Shijindas NP (27) and Anu Krishna (24) were arrested.

The incident happened this morning. The trio met the doctor yesterday and came to the doctor's room in the morning with weapons and threatened to kill him. When he said that he did not have money in hand, he transferred 2500 rupees through Google Pay. It is reported that the accused Anas and Anu have known each other for six months. They are drug addicts. It is reported that they committed the robbery to buy drugs.

The accused had planned to go to Delhi to avoid being caught by the police. However, they were caught by the police within hours. The police also recovered the bikes, mobile phones, and weapons used by them. The accused were arrested by the town police team led by town inspector Baiju K Jose and the District anti-narcotics special action force (DANSAF) led by Kozhikode anti-narcotics cell assistant commissioner TP Jacob.
