Sexual abuse under pretense of witchcraft, shaman arrested

THRISSUR: A fake shaman who molested a 13-year-old girl under the guise of witchcraft was arrested. The arrested has been identified as Palakkaveetil Alikutty Mastan (60). The child's superstitious father approached the accused to remove the problems at home.

Then Alikutty made the family believe that the girl's body was possessed by the devil. The sexual abuse was done under the guise of exorcism. The girl was abused at her house and then at the shaman's house under the pretense of karma. The accused was produced in the court and remanded. There were complaints in the past that he has committed many frauds under the guise of witchcraft.
