SRINAGAR: A police officer in Jammu and Kashmir, Inspector Masroor Wani, was seriously injured in a terrorist firing incident. He was shot while playing cricket at the Eidgah ground. The attackers used a police pistol. Masroor has been admitted to the hospital and the area has been secured by security forces. Residents have been evacuated from their homes.

Yesterday, the army successfully eliminated five terrorists attempting to infiltrate the region, particularly in Arnia. Additionally, Pakistan violated the ceasefire by firing at a BSF post, resulting in injuries to three individuals, including BSF jawans. In light of recent events, a high-level meeting was convened in Srinagar. Top officials disclosed that out of the 46 terrorists killed in Jammu and Kashmir this year, 37 were of Pakistani origin.

Responding to local demands, efforts have been made to clean and maintain bunkers. The request is to make these bunkers usable, particularly in the context of recent shelling incidents. Residents are emphasizing the importance of ensuring these bunkers are functional due to Pakistan's ceasefire violations.
