'Best opening ceremony ever, opposition shocked'; Minister Sivankutty praises Keraleeyam event

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Tremendous success and the popular participation for 'Keraleeyam' is scaring the opposition parties, said V Sivankutty, Education Minister who is also the Chairman of the Keraleeyam Organizing Committee. The minister also praised the opening ceremony of the event as the best Kerala has ever seen.

Film luminaries Kamal Haasan, Mammootty, Mohanlal, and Shobhana graced the event which saw participation from thousands. Many programs are organized in connection with Kerala, which will document the history of Kerala, and will give more insights into what the future holds for the state. Keraleeyam is staged in 42 venues from Kowdiar to East Fort.

Seminars, film fests, exhibitions, art shows, food fests, flower shows, trade fairs, B2B meets and Deepalankaram will add the needed festive spirit to the celebrations of Keraleeyam.

“BJP conducted a secretariat march on Wednesday with an intention to tamper the opening day ceremony of Keraleeyam. However, the attempt turned futile as the event saw a mass influx of people. On the other hand, congress is indulging in accusing the government of corruption without any reasonable evidence. The opening day success of Keraleeyam is a bashing in the face of opposition parties” Sivankutty commented.
