Revenue Department evacuates encroachments in Munnar and Devikulam

MUNNAR: Devikulam, Munnar region has been cleared of encroachments and the Revenue Department Board has been set up. The revenue team evacuated the government land encroached by Bijunu Mani, Senthilkumar and Ajitha near Devikulam Settlement Colony. All are natives of Devikulam. 7 cents including Bijunu Mani's house and 2.5 cents each of Selvaraj and Ajitha were evacuated.

Encroachments in Munnar town and near the village office were also evacuated. In Munnar town, the shop built by the government at Nallathanni Junction was evacuated. The High Court had earlier ordered the evacuation of eight shops in this area. The mission team also vacated 10 cents of encroached land near Munnar Village Office.
