congress

MALAPPURAM: In view of the Lok Sabha elections, the Congress has taken steps to strengthen the organizational system at the grassroots level in Malappuram district. The aim is to overcome the crisis caused by sectarianism and give an apt reply to the Muslim League's blame that the party was not preparing for the elections.

As per the instructions of KPCC, the District Congress Committee has been formed for the project activities. The booth committees will be reconstituted within a week. New committees will be formed in those booths where there are no existing committees. KPCC, DCC office-bearers and district office-bearers of various feeder organizations will ensure that committees are formed in their respective booths.

A workshop will be organized for the elected booth office-bearers in all constituencies by November 30. A woman Congress worker will also be included in the polling booths. The presence of two active workers will also be ensured. The formation of Congress unit committees will be completed in December.

KSU and Mahila Congress will be strengthened through family units on the model of Kudumbashree and neighbourhood groups.
A message has been sent to the mandalam committees that the Muslim League should be convinced of the organizational strength of the Congress in the district.
