KOZHIKODE: A complaint has been filed against a travelling ticket examiner (TTE) for pushing a woman and her daughter out of a moving train. The incident happened on the fourth platform of Kozhikode railway station. The complaint filed with the railway police said Shareefa, wife of Faisal of Vendakkan House at Pappinisseri in Kannur and her 17-year-old daughter were pushed from S2 coach of Netravati Express. The TTE was irked after they got into the reservation coach. Sharifa sustained injuries on her hand.
They came to go to Kannur and got a general ticket. As the general coach was overcrowded, Faisal boarded his wife and daughter in the reservation coach. After that, Faisal boarded the general coach along with his son. Hearing a commotion when the train was leaving, Faisal saw the TTE pushing his daughter and two other children out of the moving train. Faisal immediately got off the train with his son. Meanwhile, TTE also pushed his wife out and she sustained injuries in the fall.
The RPF arrived and after preliminary investigation took them to the railway police. Lodged a complaint demanding action against the TTE. The Railway Police informed that the TTE has been asked to appear at the station today and will investigate and take action.
