KANNUR: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan recently called the attack on Youth Congress workers as an exemplary rescue work by DYFI. Commenting on the same, Minister MB Rajesh said the CM said it as a troll. "What the Chief Minister said was a joke. Do the leader of the opposition who said the party would have a face-off on the street have a golden heart?", he added.
Minister K Rajan explained that the Chief Minister's words do not recognize violence. Minister P Rajeev said that the campaign would have been different if those who jumped in front of the bus had not been saved. P. Rajeev added that if they had not been rescued, the campaign would have been different and the restraint should not be lost.
The Chief Minister's remark was that the DYFI workers tried to save the lives of the Youth Congress workers who jumped in front of the Navakerala Sadas bus in Kannur. Pinarayi Vijayan also said that this exemplary work should be continued. The chief minister's strange claim came when a case of attempt to murder was filed against DYFI activists for brutally beating them up. "If you see someone jumping in front of a train, you try to push them away. It should not be taken in a different way", the CM said.
