THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The police have issued a notice to youth congress state president Rahul Mamkootathil in the case of using fake voter identity cards in the youth congress election. The notice asked him to appear for interrogation at the museum station tomorrow.

The police suspect that Feni and Binil, the accused in the case, abandoned their mobile phones in the presence of Rahul. Meantime, the police informed that Jaison Thomas of Thrikaripur, is the mastermind in the case. He is on the run.

The remand report of the police mentioned that the fake identity cards were made as part of a conspiracy to make the 'A' group members of the Youth Congress win. The police in the report submitted to the CJM court said the making of fake cards is a threat to national security.

A mobile application called CR Card was used to make the fake cards. The cards were made at the Youth Congress office in Adoor. Renju, a youth congress activist, entrusted them with this. 50 to 60 cards are made daily and about 2000 cards were produced in this way. District vice president of Pathanamthitta Youth Congress, Vikas Krishnan, the fourth accused stated that Rs 1000 was given daily for this. The fake cards were uploaded on the election website of the Youth Congress. The police said that if all the cards are not recovered, these may be used in place of the cards of the election commission.
