Cop arrested for misbehaving with woman in bus

KOTTAYAM: A police officer was arrested on the complaint of misbehaving with a woman in a moving bus. The Ponkunnam police arrested Ajas Mon (35), a senior civil police officer of Peruvanthanam station. The incident happened last evening.

The complaint against Ajas is that he caught hold of the woman while traveling. He misbehaved with the woman who was travelling to Mundakayam from Kottayam. The woman was carrying her nine-month-old baby. He misbehaved with her when she was breast feeding her baby during the journey. The woman immediately got down from the bus and boarded another one. He also got down from the bus and boarded the same bus.

She informed her husband and relatives about the incident. She got down at Kanjirappally when the bus reached there and he also did the same thing. With this, the woman's relatives who were there caught Ajas and handed him over to the police. Ajas produced in the court has been remanded.
