'My husband said go hug him': Guruvayur jasmine seller Dhanya opens up on Suresh Gopi

GURUVAYUR: BJP leader Suresh Gopi recently entrusted a roadside seller to provide him with jasmine flowers for his daughter’s wedding. A bulk order was given and the video too went viral across the internet. The luck fell on Dhanya, who earns a living by selling jasmine flowers near Guruvayur temple premise. And now, Dhanya has expressed her desire to hug Suresh Gopi and call him 'Acha' (Father) once. The disclosure was made in an interview given to the media.

“ I haven’t seen my father for more than two years. Even though we meet often after marriage, he does not bother to talk to me. I asked my husband recently whether I could give a hug to Suresh Gopi and he gave me a yes nod. But when I saw Suresh Gopi, I couldn't move and I was starstruck. However, I have a wish. When I hand over the jasmine flowers to Suresh Gopi, I want to call him ‘Acha' (father) and I expect a hug” says Dhanya.

Suresh Gopi, who came to Guruvayur a few days ago, met Dhanya, her husband and their newborn. Suresh Gopi was moved by the arduous life led by Dhanya who is taking her toddler alongside her while selling flowers at Guruvayur. Dhanya went at odds with her family for marrying the man she loved. She along with her ailing husband and newborn is living at a rented house in Guruvayur.
