Elephant goes berserk during festival, mahout seriously injured in attack

THRISSUR: An elephant went berserk during festival in Kunnamkulam's Kottiyattumukku causing panic. The said elephant, Konark Kannan, attacked the first mahout Saji with his tusk and flinged him. Saji was seriously injured in the attack. The elephant turned violent while the caparison were being removed.

The injured Papan was admitted to a private hospital in Thrissur. The berserk elephant was later brought under control. The police have reached the spot and are controlling the mob. No further information is available.
