Youth held for forcibly taking blood of fourth-class boy, a Malayali

boy

NEW DELHI: A complaint has been obtained against a lab employee for trying to forcibly conduct a blood test of a fourth-class boy. The incident happened at the lab in Dilshad Garden GTB Enclave E-pocket Colony. The lab technician of Delhi has been arrested on the complaint.

The attack was towards a minor boy, son of Mannarkkad natives of Palakkad. The incident happened while he was returning with his mother from a worship place at around 1:30 pm. The accused forcibly dragged the child to the lab when his mother and aunt entered the shop to buy things.

The boy tried to slip from his hands when he said that his blood was going to be tested. He somehow escaped from his hands. The employee later misbehaved with his mother when she came to ask about it.

The Malayalees and locals under the leadership of the Residents Welfare Association blocked the gate of the colony. The protests ended after the GTB station SHO assured that strict action would be taken. The Malayali organizations demanded that the accused be interrogated in detail.

There are many labs in GTB Enclave. Many of these institutes are alleged to be illegal. The locals are also demanding that the police should be prepared to collect accurate information about those working here.
