THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The office of Transport Minister Antony Rajy has received a letter threatening that bombs will be planted on the venue of the Nava Kerala Sadas and on the bus in which the Chief Minister and Ministers travel. The Cantonment police have registered a case and launched an investigation after the minister's office lodged a complaint with the DGP regarding the death threat. It is not clear from where the letter was posted.
The threat was sent as a postcard. According to the letter, bombs will be planted in three places. The letter also stated that a suicide bomber will run into the special bus on which the ministers were travelling. The ministers are currently visiting Malappuram district as part of the Nava Kerala Sadas.
Earlier, the Wayanad Collectorate had received a threat letter stating that an attack would be launched against the Nava Kerala Sadas.
