KOCHI: The High Court has directed the complainant to be included in the plea filed by former cricketer Sreesanth seeking anticipatory bail in the latter-involved money laundering case.

Justice C P Muhammed Niyas came up with the suggestion after the public prosecutor informed him about the case reaching a settlement. The single bench adjourned the petition to December 8 and prevented the arrest of Sreesanth till then.

The Kannur town police registered a case against two Udupi natives and Sreesanth, after Sarig Balagopalan, a native of Kannur Cherukunnu, alleged that the cricketer-involved gang tricked him into investing in a project that promised a sports academy in Kollur, Karnataka. Sreesanth alleged conspiracy in the case and said he was wrongly implicated.
