Abigail gives another crucial statement; Police release new sketches of kidnappers

KOLLAM: The Oyoor kidnapping case took a crucial turn on Thursday after Abigail Sara, who was kidnapped, said that there were two women in the gang that abducted her. Police prepared sketches of those involved in the incident after taking details from Abigail. Sketches of two women and one man were prepared.

On Thursday evening, police released sketches of the woman who took care of the child and the car driver. Abigail failed to remember the others in the group but said she was familiar only with these two people.

Six-year-old Abigail has been discharged from Kollam Victoria Hospital. After recording the statement before the Kottarakkara Magistrate, she will be brought to her home with a police escort. The child will be subjected to counselling while restrictions will be imposed on people who may visit Abigail at home.

In yet another move that confounded the public, the police searched Abigail’s father Reji’s flat in Pathanamthitta. A special investigation team searched a flat in Pathanamthitta city. There are reports that his phone has been taken into custody by the investigation team. The police also reached the hospital where Reji works.
