KOCHI: The Kerala Police have issued a strange directive to the hotels functioning near the venue where the Nava Kerala Sadas will be held in the Aluva constituency. The police have directed the hotels not to cook food using cooking gas on the day of the arrival of the Chief Minister. The police have also handed over the directive in this regard to the hoteliers and shop owners near the Aluva Private Bus Stand- the venue of the programme.
The order states that hotels functioning near the venue will not be allowed to use cooking gas on the day of the arrival of the Chief Minister and that the decision was taken citing security reasons. Hoteliers and shop owners have been directed to bring the food to be sold after cooking them at home.
The Nava Kerala Sadas programme in Aluva will be held on December 7. Those working in nearby shops have been directed to obtain special ID cards from the police on this day. The police said that this kind of action is being taken considering the huge public participation in the programme.
To get the ID cards, people working in nearby shops should go to the Aluva East Police Station and submit two passport-sized photos, personal details and a copy of an identity card.
