'Thanks and love'; Kumbalangi Nights fame Sheela Rajkumar announces divorce

CHENNAI: Actress Sheela Rajkumar who rose to fame with the 2019 released ‘Kumbalangi Nights’ is heading straight for divorce from husband Thambi Cholan. The actress, who is very much active on social media said she is ending her marriage and thanked her husband for the ‘love’.

Sheela caught attention in Tamil with the film 'Mandela'. The actress last appeared on the silver screen as actor SJ Surya's ex-girlfriend in the super hit Jigarthanda Double X directed by Karthik Subbaraj.

Sheela made her silver screen debut with the crime thriller Aarathu Sinam which was released in 2016. In 2017, she played the lead role in the film 'To Let' directed by Thambi Cholan. This movie established her presence in the Tamil industry.

Her sombre portrayal of ‘Sathi’ in ‘Kumbalangi Nights’ was infectious and was well received across Kerala.
