AMARAVATI: Telangana DGP Anjani Kumar was suspended by the Election Commission for violating rules laid down for the Telangana assembly elections.
He visited Congress leader Anumula Revanth Reddy's house in Hyderabad with a bouquet of flowers after the Congress was leading in the Telangana elections. Reportedly, this is the main reason for the suspension of the DGP.

Meanwhile, the Congress is halfway to victory in Telangana as the counting of votes continues. Out of 119 constituencies, the Congress is leading in 64 and has won in 14 seats. BRS has managed to win only seven seats so far. BRS is leading in 39 seats.
