Thought he would come back healthy, shocked to hear news of his death: MV Govindan

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM State Secretary MV Govindan said that he was in shock when he heard the news of the demise of CPI State Secretary Kanam Rajendran.

"I had visited him when he was admitted to the hospital. He spoke enthusiastically while I inquired about the illness. He said that the wound was healing and he was feeling better. He had said that he would be able to leave the hospital soon and get back to work, MV Govindan recalled

'Kanam's son had said yesterday that he was better than how he looked. He had also said that Kanam will be discharged soon. The news of his death was a shock. Tribute to Kanam Rajendran's memory. Kanam Rajendran's life was dedicated to the poor. The Left Front lost a strong communist leader,' MV Govindan said.
