Doctor-cum-movie actor Anoop arrested for illicit alcohol production

THRISSUR: A doctor who is also a movie star was caught on Tuesday for the production of illicit alcohol. The incident took place in Peringottukara, Thrissur.

Officials informed that 1200 litres of liquor was found at the fake liquor manufacturing centre here. Six people, including Irinjalakuda native and actor Dr. Anoop, were detained in the incident.

Reji and Robin from Kottayam, Cyril from Thrissur Kallur, Melvin from Kollam and Prajeesh from Chirakkal, Thrissur are the other accused in custody. According to police, the group used to bring spirit to this location and was later involved in the production of illicit alcohol.
