Zojila Pass accident: Malayali under treatment dies, death toll reaches six

SRINAGAR: Adding more grief, another Malayali, who was in treatment after the brutal car accident in Zojila Pass, died while undergoing treatment on Saturday. Manoj, a native of Chittur is the deceased. With this, the total causalities of the accident have turned six.

Five of the six killed are Malayalis. The accident took place when the car, which the group were travelling overturned near Zojila Pass in Srinagar. Sudeesh, Anil, Vignesh and Rahul are the other four Malayalis who lost their life in the tragic incident. Ijaz Ahmed, the driver of the jeep also died in the accident.

The dead bodies of Sudesh, Anil, Vignesh and Rahul were brought home on Friday. The dead bodies were brought to Nedumbassery by air from Srinagar at 3 am on Friday and reached Chittur at 6 am.
