Albeit crossing the Rs 500 worldwide collection, Ranbir Kapoor's movie ‘Animal’ is still clogged in controversy, and the talks have now echoed inside the chambers of parliament. Ranjeet Ranjan said her daughter stormed off from the theatres without completing the movie as the toxicity was too much to bear.
“ We all grew up watching movies. Cinema is a mirror of the society. My daughter went to see 'Animal' with her college friends. She left the theatre in tears before the film was over. She couldn't stop crying. It is at some staggering level that the violence is pictured in the movie. It is movies such as 'Animal' that influence youths to tread a disastrous path in life”, Ranjeet Ranjan quoted.
The MP also criticized the use of the song ‘Arjan Vailly’ in the film. Ranjeet Ranjan also said that using a Punjabi war song as a backdrop when Ranbir Kapoor's character commits acts like murder may hurt religious sentiments.
