Baby dies after accidentally drinking mosquito repellent

KASARGOD: A one-and-a-half-year-old baby girl died after she accidentally drank mosquito repellent. The dead is Jessa, elder daughter of Anshifa-Ramsheed couple of Kalloravi Bawa Nagar in Kasaragod. She died Tuesday morning while undergoing treatment.

She accidentally drank the repellent two days ago while playing at her house. As soon as the incident was noticed, the baby was admitted to a hospital in Mangalore. Her condition worsened this morning and she died. The cause of death was lung infection due to intake of toxins.
