NEW DELHI: Suspension of opposition MPs protesting in Parliament continues. After the suspension of 141 MPs, two more MPs were suspended in the Lok Sabha today. MPs Thomas Chazhikadan and AM Ariff from Kerala were suspended today.
Action was taken against the MPs for allegedly holding placards and protesting in the center of the hall. The new building of Parliament is witnessing the biggest 'suspension' series in history. The mass suspension comes amid six consecutive days of protests by the opposition demanding that Prime Minister Narendra Modi or Home Minister Amit Shah make a statement about the security breach in Parliament.
At present 143 MPs have been suspended from both houses. After the series of suspensions, only four MPs from Kerala are left in the Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha.
