NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi lashed out at the opposition during the debate on the President's motion of thanks. Modi, who said he was proud of walking after the sceptre (CHENKOL), criticized the opposition saying the alliance won’t come back to power anytime soon.

In a well-delivered jibe, the PM said the people of India will bless them again to remain as an opposition party in India.

“The alliance is now in shambles. Congress gave away the massive opportunity to become the major opposition party in the country. Talented youngsters have no place in the congress party as it is still ruled by a family.” PM Modi said.

PM Modi also dismissed vague rumours about the family rule in the BJP as he said it is not the family of Rajnath Singh or Amit Shah that is ruling BJP.

“The opposition has lost the courage to contest elections. Many try to change seats. They made a show about opening some ‘shop of love’, but now all shops are shut down. I appreciate their decision to remain in opposition for a long” said PM Modi.
