Kozhikode girl Meghna stars in PM Modi's ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’

KOZHIKODE: Meghna N Nath, a 11th-class student of Easthill Kendriya Vidyalaya, Kozhikode is living the moment. She stood resolute and determined without wavering her voice as she stood beside one of the most powerful personalities in the world, the prime minister of India, Narendra Modi. The results of month-long hard work and commitment came out on full display as Meghna was selected as an anchor for the seventh edition of ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’.

This is for the first time that a Malayali girl is being selected as anchor for the touted show which features PM Modi. The doors of opportunity came Meghna's way for her brilliance while anchoring the youth parliament session, where she stood first at both the state and south Indian levels. Meghna never would have applied for the anchor role in Pariksha Pe Charcha, if not for the support she received from her family and teachers at school.

The first stage never stood as a challenge as she passed it in a canter by sending a sample video of presenting the show. Later, through a video conference, Meghna became one of the two selected anchors of the show. Meghna later boarded for Delhi to attend a training session. She will return to Kozhikode on Tuesday after dutifully completing her work.

Meghna completed her 10th class from Govindapuram Kendriya Vidyalaya. She wants to learn different languages apart from Hindi and English. As of now, she is pursuing humanities from Kozhikode East Hill Kendriya Vidyalaya and is a resident of Kottooly on the east side of Kozhikode.

Meghna is the youngest daughter of media veteran Narendranath and his wife Sheena. Her sister Nandana M. Nath is a graduate student at the National University of Singapore. Ananya Jyoti from Varanasi was another presenter selected for the ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ program.
