Kollam gears up for another Minister representation in State cabinet

KOLLAM: Residents of Kollam are elated as another ministerial representation from the region is anticipated in the state cabinet. KN Balagopal and J Chinchurani presently serve as ministers representing the eastern segment of the district. KB Ganesh Kumar coming third from the same area is poised to join them.

Ganesh Kumar, initially recognized as a film actor and the son of former minister R Balakrishna Pillai of the Kerala Congress (B) entered politics. Over time, he showcased the compatibility of politics with the cinema industry. Particularly in the Pathanapuram Constituency, he adeptly fostered personal relationships across political lines leading to numerous developmental strides since the establishment of Pathanapuram Taluk.

However, his outspoken nature akin to his father's contentious speeches has raised debates regarding his communication style. Ganesh also has a habit of speaking out what he feels is right, whether inside or outside the front. Officials often approach Ganesh with fear. It is because of the habit of exploding if it is wrong. This includes personally investigating alleged road construction corruption by physically inspecting roads and publicly exposing any flaws discovered.
