PARIS: A plane seized by authorities near Paris en route to the Central American country of Nicaragua with 303 Indian passengers has finally received the clearance to fly. The plane has been held at the France airport for the past four days following suspicions of human trafficking.

Authorities detained all passengers on the plane, including a 21-month-old baby, on suspicion of human trafficking by a criminal gang. According to the airline's attorney, some of the Indians detained at the airport will be brought back to India.

It is also reported that some passengers have already taken refuge in France. Two people have been arrested in the incident. Almost 11 passengers are single and bereft of any company. The plane was seized when it stopped for refuelling at Vatry airport, 150 km from Paris.

The authorities took action after receiving an anonymous message alleging Human trafficking to Latin American countries. Following the tip-off, the authorities stopped Legends Airlines which was on its way from Fujairah airport in UAE to Nicaragua. It is indicated that many passengers were trying to go to America or Canada illegally from here.
