SIVAGIRI: Minister Saji Cherian said that the foundational stone for organizational movements in Kerala was laid by Sree Narayana Guru's revolutionary doctrine of 'gaining a fortress through organizational movements'. The minister was inaugurating a conference on organized movements' advantages and disadvantages as part of the Sivagiri pilgrimage.
“Sree Narayana Guru exhorted organisational movements to achieve social progress. he was a pioneer in eradicating social evils in our society. The organizations that emerged later played a crucial role in ending many caste-based injustices. The role played by organized forces in the growth of the Renaissance is also part of Kerala’s history. However, there are now certain sections that use organizational prowess to drag back our society to archaic ways. They want to propagate their ideology through organizational power. It is thus necessary to educate our people in this regard to differentiate right and wrong. “ Minister opined.
The minister later said Kerala was conducive for industries to thrive, debunking the popular narrative of the state's aversion towards business entities.
