The protest against the derogatory remarks made by three ministers of the Maldives against India and Prime Minister Narendra is intensifying across the country. Meanwhile, BJP state president K Surendran has slammed the actors and cultural leaders who had once criticised the measures taken by Lakshadweep administrator Praful Patel for improving the tourism possibilities in Lakshadweep. He said that those actors who had criticised Praful Patel for introducing some reforms to improve tourism possibilities in Lakshadweep are now remaining silent when the Maldives government insulted Lakshadweep and India.
K Surendran's words-
"The actors and cultural leaders who had criticised Praful Patel for introducing some reforms to improve tourism possibilities in Lakshadweep are now remaining silent when the Maldives government insulted Lakshadweep and India. Who knew that these people are not getting monthly quotas from China."
Meanwhile, protests are intensifying across the nation against the remarks made by some ministers of Maldives against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Tour agencies have cancelled trips to Maldives. Film stars and sports stars also protested.
The Indian High Commission in Maldives had protested after the three ministers of Maldives made defamatory remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi on social media. Following this, the Maldivian government suspended the ministers Maryam Shiuna, Malsha Shareef and Mahzoom Majid. Maldives Foreign Minister Mooza Zameer said that remarks against foreign leaders were not acceptable and it was not the official position of their government.
