MALAPPURAM: Youth Congress workers waved black flags at Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in Malappuram on Thursday. Youth Congress district president Haris Mudur led the black flag protest when the Chief Minister arrived to attend a program of Deshabhimani in Malappuram.
Youth Congress workers approached the Chief Minister's vehicle waving black flags. A large number of policemen were deployed at the spot as there were indications that Youth Congress workers would protest against the CM.
About 11 activists raised the black flags against the Chief Minister. Following the protest, the activists were stopped by the police. Youth Congress has been organising protests across the state following the arrest of Youth Congress state president Rahul Mamkootathil.
