Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Guruvayur; time change for booked weddings

GURUVAYUR: In view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to participate in the wedding of actor and former Rajya Sabha member Suresh Gopi's daughter, restrictions will be imposed on devotees in Guruvayur from 6 am on the 17th. Groups who have booked marriages from 5 am will be given passes and restricted. Marriages booked between six and nine will have to be performed before six or after nine.

The police have issued instructions to the wedding parties in this regard. So far 66 marriages have been booked on that day.

The Prime Minister will land at the helipad at Srikrishna College ground at 8 am on the 17th and will leave for Guruvayur by road. He will reach Sreevalsam guest house at 8.10 am and at 8.15 am he will leave the guest house for temple darshan. After spending 20 minutes in the temple, he will attend the wedding ceremony of Suresh Gopi's daughter on the temple grounds.

The SPG officials who are in charge of the Prime Minister's security will reach Guruvayur tomorrow and will take a final decision regarding the security arrangements after meeting the Devaswom and police officials. Traffic will be restricted in the city from 6 am. Vehicles will not be allowed from Choondal to Guruvayur Temple Road.

Around 10,000 BJP workers from Guruvayur, Nattika and Manalur constituencies will line up at Srikrishna College ground in the morning to greet the Prime Minister.
