Apple AirPod stolen from council hall of Pala Municipality; theft committed by one among us, says councillor

PALA: The councillors of the Pala Municipality are busy trying to find the 'thief' among them who stole an Apple Airpod worth Rs 35,000. The theft came to light after Chairperson Josin Bino received a letter during the council meeting held yesterday. The letter was written by Jose Cheeramkuzhy, a councillor of the ruling party.

In his letter, Jose said that his Apple AirPod went missing from the council hall. He also said that he had understood that the AirPod was stolen by one of the councillors present in the hall. He did not mention anyone's name in the letter as he did not want to tarnish the reputation of anyone. He requested the chairperson to take appropriate action to find his AirPod and return it. Following this, the chairperson read out the letter during the council meeting.

"The person who has taken the AirPod must return it. Since Jose hasn't mentioned the name of anyone, twenty-five councillors, including myself, are now in a state of being thieves." the chairperson said.

Although some of the councillors demanded a strong investigation into the incident, the chairperson took the stand that a chance should be given to the person who took the AirPod to return it. Following this, everyone in the meeting agreed to this.

AirPod was stolen on October 4

Jose Cheeramkuzhy said that the AirPod went missing after the council meeting on October 4. The person who took it started using it again on the 6th. Jose said that he soon found out that the AirPod was being used by another councillor. He has even obtained the location of the AirPod.
