Prime Minister visits Rameswaram ahead of Ram Temple consecration ceremony; Modi takes holy dip in sea, video

RAMESWARAM: Ahead of the Ayodhya Ram Temple dedication ceremony, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a holy dip in the Agni Theertham sea and visited the Ramanathaswamy temple. Modi wore a Rudraksha chain at Ramanatha Swamy temple in Rameswaram and left after prayers. The video of this has been released by the national media. It is reported that Modi also participated in the bhajan held at the shrine. Modi arrived here in a helicopter.

Located in Ramanathapuram district of Tamil Nadu, the Shiva temple is believed to have a connection with Lord Rama. It is believed that the Shiva Lingam here was installed by Lord Rama himself.


Sangh Parivar organizations are distributing Jai Shri Ram flags at homes in connection with the Prana Pratishtha function. In addition, Prime Minister Narendra Modi released six types of stamps with images including those of the Ram Temple. The stamp also has images of the Sun, Sarayu River, Lord Ganesha, Hanuman, Jatayu and various temple sculptures. Modi also released a book containing a collection of international Ram-related stamps. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in X that the stamps will provide an opportunity to remind many generations about Prana Pratishtha.

The Prime Minister will take a dip in the Sarayu river on the morning of the 22nd, the consecration day. He will walk to Ram Janmabhoomi through Rampath and Bhaktipath. Modi will walk about two kilometers and then visit the Hanuman Garhi temple.
