VIJAYAWADA: With YS Sharmila taking charge as the Andhra Pradesh Congress president, political parties in the state have intensified their Lok Sabha and state election activities. Assembly elections will be held here along with the Lok Sabha elections. The decision of the Telugu Desam Party is to capitalize on the anti-incumbency sentiment against Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy and intensify the allegations of corruption. There is a constituent party, the Janasena Party. It is almost certain that the Telugu Desam Party will be a constituent of the NDA.
At the same time, Chief Minister Jagan has given an indirect reply to his sister Sharmila, starting from 19th of the caste census put forward by the Congress. Census till 28 Jagan can use it as a weapon in the elections, even if the complete data collection will not be done in a short period of time.
Former Chief Minister and TDP President Chandrababu Naidu is raising the allegation that the Jagan government has canceled all the schemes of the tribals. Referring to the death of a woman and child in Kota, he said that Chief Minister Jagan Mohan has withdrawn 16 tribal welfare schemes and as a result of this, deaths are occurring in tribal areas. The TDP government had opposed bauxite mining in tribal areas. But the YSRCP government is involved in massive bauxite mining in the name of laterite. He also alleged that the bauxite being mined is being taken to Chief Minister's Bharti Cements.
Jana Sena Party President Pawan Kalyan has started trying to bring Congress leaders to his own camp. Yesterday, he wrote a letter inviting former minister Konatala Ramakrishna to the party. Ramakrishna's services will help make the party stronger. The letter also stated that Janasena will become stronger with Ramakrishna joining the party, which is convinced of the development of the state.
