Kerala Kaumudi organises tourism conclave sparking creative solutions for Kerala's tourism growth

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Kaumudi-organized Tourism Conclave focused on exploring opportunities and addressing challenges in Kerala's tourism sector. Participants emphasized creative solutions to enhance tourism discussing progress in hotels, healthcare and other related areas. Notable figures, including Rani Mohandas from South Park Institute of Hotel Management and Biju Ramesh, MD of Rajdhani Group were acknowledged for their contributions.

Key highlights involved addressing issues like clean toilet facilities at tourist centers, trade union concerns, and the overall improvement of the hotel and health sectors. Awards were presented to individuals such as Dr. Jayakumar, Chairman of Sabarigiri International Schools Group and CK Rawit Al Bait, General Manager of Civilians Center for Competitive Exams.

Minister PA Muhammad Riyaz awarded individuals like Udayaraj from Laguna Beach Resort and Alsaj Hotels Group, recognizing their achievements. MLA VK Prashanth, presiding over the event stressed the importance of marketing Kerala's green beauty and suggested potential changes in the alcohol policy for the tourism sector.

He highlighted the significance of beautifying streets and buildings to enhance the country's allure. Prashanth also praised Kerala Kaumudi's efforts to tap into the tourism potential expressing hope for resolving negatives through discussions. He emphasized the potential of marketing festivals like Attukal Pongala to boost tourism revenue.
