NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court rejected Former Govt of Kerala High Court Pleader PG Manu's anticipatory bail plea in a sexual harassment case. The court also directed that Manu should surrender within ten days. After surrendering, the lawyer should be produced before the magistrate. The court also directed to consider the bail application on the same day. After the High Court rejected the bail plea, PG Manu approached the Supreme Court.

The case against the former senior government pleader is that the young woman who sought legal help was molested. The complainant came to see the lawyer last October in connection with the case that took place in 2018. It is stated that later on, the young woman was often threatened and tortured at the office and the complainant's house in Kadavantra. A case has been registered against the lawyer under the IT Act for taking a private picture of the complainant without permission and sending an obscene message to her phone.

But Manu's anticipatory bail application says that the behaviour alleged by the complainant did not happen on his part and the case is part of a deliberate move by his opponents in the field of work. A case was registered against Manu on a complaint received by Rural SP. Manu resigned as a senior government pleader after the case was registered.
