P C George, son join BJP, may contest from Pathanamthitta if party demands

NEW DELHI: The Kerala Janapaksham (Secular) led by P C George has merged with the BJP. Party chairman P C George, his son Shaun George and George Joseph Kakkanad accepted BJP membership. Union Ministers V Muraleedharan, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, party leader in charge of Kerala Prakash Javadekar and Anil Antony were present at the membership reception in Delhi.

P C George responded that the decision was made on the basis of the discussion that has been going on for two months and the demand to join the BJP was strong in the party. He said that he will contest in Pathanamthitta if the party demands. BJP national secretary and spokesperson Anil Antony said that this is a very important day in the Kerala politics. He also pointed out that P C George is an important leader from the Roman Catholic community in Kerala.

Union Minister V Muraleedharan said P C George is a leader who is waging an uncompromising fight against corruption and nepotism of the communist government in the state. He also alleged that Congress has an adjustment with the CPM in Kerala. He added that P C George's entry would expose the false propaganda against the BJP among the minorities.

Prakash Javadekar said that a big rally will be held in Kerala as part of the merger. This is just the beginning. More to come. If asked any party member in Kerala, they will say that Narendra Modi will become the Prime Minister. However, in 2019, many believed that Rahul Gandhi would become the Prime Minister. This Lok Sabha election in Kerala is not like the 2019 election. Javadekar also claimed that BJP will win at least five seats in Kerala with the arrival of P C George and more in future.
