THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A youth who impersonated in the PSC exam fled from the hall when he was sure that he would be caught. The fraud attempt took place in the university last grade (main) examination. Efforts have been made to identify the youth. The PSC will file a complaint with the police.

The incident happened during the examination held at Poojappura Chinnamma Memorial Girls High School. The exam was from 7.15 am to 9.15 am. A total of 52,879 candidates appeared for the state-level examination. The photo on the hall ticket and the candidate will be examined by the officials on examination duty. Data of Aadhaar linked persons will be assessed through biometric verification. When the invigilator approached to check the documents, the youth fled from the place. The PSC staff ran behind, but the youth escaped on a bike waiting for him outside.

PSC officials said they will file a complaint today after consulting with the PSC chairman. The hall ticket number was written on the seat so the person who fled could be traced. The applicant can be traced using the hall ticket. By interrogating him, the absconder can be held.
