Mysterious death; body of 60-year-old woman found naked in stream; police registers case

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A 60-year-old woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Kilimanoor. Leela, a native of Thattathumala, was found dead in a stream near her house. Inside the house, there were signs of violence and clothing being torn.

Leela has been living alone for the past four years after the death of her husband. Leela did not go to work due to illness for two weeks. Later in the morning, she was found dead in a nearby stream. The labourers who came for tapping job in the rubber plantation are the ones who saw the body and informed the police.

The dead body was lying naked in a stream ten feet below the house. The police said that the reason can be clarified only after conducting further investigation into the incident. Kilimanoor police have registered a case of unnatural death.
