Youth stabbed to death in capital city, three in custody

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A youth was stabbed to death with a beer bottle during an argument while consuming liquor in Malayinkeezhu. The dead is Sarath (24), a native of Karamkottukonam. Akhilesh, who was sustained stab injuries is undergoing treatment in the hospital. Three who stabbed the youths were taken into custody. The incident happened late last night.

A verbal dispute broke out over a mike set taken during a festival held last year at a nearby temple. When the dispute escalated, Rajesh, a nearby resident, came there. A verbal dispute broke out between Rajesh and Arun and then Arun thrashed Rajesh brutally. When Rajesh’s relatives Sarath and Akhilesh came to question this, they were stabbed with the beer bottle.
