Boy in serious condition after car hits him in Aluva, driver and vehicle in custody

KOCHI: A seven-year-old boy is in a serious condition after a car fatally knocked him down. The police arrested the driver of the car involved in the accident that happened on Wednesday. He is being interrogated. The car that hit the child has also been taken into custody from Edapally.

His initial statement was that he was not aware of the accident. The police are grilling him.

The boy, who fell from the auto was seriously injured after the car from behind hit him. Nishikanth P Nair, son of Prijith of Vazhakkulam Prem Niwas, met with the accident. The incident happened near Kuttamchery Anikad junction in Aluva around 10 am on Tuesday. The car that hit the child fled without stopping.
