BENGALURU: The Karnataka High Court will pronounce the verdict on the plea filed by Veena Vijayan's Exalogic company seeking to quash the investigation by Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) in the payoff case. The interim order will be pronounced by Justice M Nagaprasanna's bench at 2.30 pm today.

The matter was investigated and reported by the Registrar of Companies under Rule 210 of the Companies Act. They fully cooperated with the investigation. The plea said SFIO's investigation under Rule 212 of the same act is illegal.

The Exalogic company filed the plea in the Kerala High Court amid reports that Veena will be interrogated by the SFIO. The company approached the Karnataka High Court as Exalogic is headquartered in Bengaluru.

The Exalogic filed the plea through advocate Manu Prabhakar Kulkarni with the SFIO and the Union Ministry of Corporate Affairs as opposite parties. The court considered the plea last Monday. After hearing the argument for an hour, the court postponed to pronounce the verdict.
