Watch mechanic, family found dead in Kanhangad

KASARAGOD: In a shocking incident, three members of a family were found dead inside their house in Avikara, Kanhangad. Suryaprakash (62), a watch repairer, his wife Leena and mother Geetha are the deceased.

The incident happened on Saturday morning. The neighbours were the first to spot the bodies. Suryaprakash's body was found hanging while the other two were lying dead in bed. The initial conclusion is that Suryaprakash hanged himself after poisoning his mother and wife. The police team reached the spot and is continuing the preliminary investigation. It is unknown whether the family had any financial obligations that possibly led them to this strange decision.

Both of Suryaprakash’s children are married and are living in other parts of the state. Neighbours have informed Suryaprakash’s son about the death.
