Harrassed sister two years ago; Plus two student hacked to death by 19-year-old

murder

COIMBATORE: A 19-year-old brutally attacked and killed a plus two student Pranav, in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Pranav, hailing from Chinnappampetti was waiting for a bus with his friends to apply for higher education when Perarashan (19) approached him. The motive behind the murder was reportedly revenge for an incident two years ago when Pranav allegedly harassed Perarashan's sister.

Perarashan along with a friend threw chilli powder into Pranav's eyes and launched a vicious assault resulting in fatal injuries including cuts on his neck. Following the attack, Perarashan surrendered at a nearby police station. CCTV footage of the incident has been made public. Pranav's body was transferred to ESI Government Hospital for post-mortem examination.

The event underscores a history of enmity between the two stemming from the prior altercation regarding Perarashan's sister's alleged harassment during her 10th-grade studies. Earlier, Pranav and his friends had reportedly confronted Perarashan leading to physical altercations and Perarashan's previous arrest. The police have confirmed that vengeance was the primary motive for the murder.
