KOZHIKODE: CPM leaders found guilty by the Kerala High Court in the T P Chandrasekharan murder case, surrendered before the court. K K Krishan, the 10th accused in the case, and the 12th accused, Jyothi Babu, surrendered before the Marad Special Court. Jyothi Babu reached the court in an ambulance. The high court had ordered that all the accused, including them, should be present for the hearing of the sentence on February 26. Meanwhile, the two surrendered in the court today.

The high court had found that eight more people are involved in the conspiracy, including two added to the list of the accused in the murder of TP. K K Krishnan and Jyothi Babu were added to the list of the accused. T P's wife K K Rema's testimony was crucial in assessing Krishna's involvement in the murder. The doctors had informed the court that Jyothi Babu is a dialysis patient. After taking him to Kozhikode Beach Hospital for medical examination, he will be shifted to the jail. CPM leaders were also present with them.

The order of the division bench considered the appeal filed by the 12 accused against the sentence, the prosecution's appeal seeking maximum punishment and the appeal filed by Chandrasekaran's wife K K Rema MLA against the acquittal of CPM leader P Mohan and others.

RMP leader T P Chandrasekharan was hacked to death by a group of attackers at Vallikkadu near Onchiyam in Vadakara. The case is that the CPM accused murdered him to take revenge on Chandrasekaran, who left the CPM and formed his own party.
