Malayalam superstar to play lead role in Vijay's son's debut film; Director's daughter to play heroine

CHENNAI: Thalapathy Vijay's son Jason Sanjay, a familiar face in the film industry debuted in 2009 alongside his father in "Vettaikaran". Now at 23, Jason is making headlines again, but this time as a director. Lyca Productions announced last August that they would produce Jason's debut film expressing admiration for its script. Initially, there were speculations about Dhruv Vikram and Vijay Sethupathi. The latest information is that Dulquer Salmaan will take the lead role.

Rumors also suggest the female lead by director Shankar's daughter and music by AR Amin, son of AR Rahman, though there's no official confirmation yet. Jason, a graduate of the Toronto Film School and London, chose directing despite earlier rumors. Directors like Sudha Konkara and Alphonse Putran approached him but Jason's passion lies in directing.
