KOCHI: Late TP Chandrasekharan's wife and Vadakara MLA KK Rema welcomed the verdict against the persons convicted in the murder case of her husband. "It is a good verdict but all the accused in the case have not come before the law. More conspiracy should come out. I will continue the legal battle for that," Rema told the media after the High Court verdict in the TP Chandrasekaran murder case.

"Some of the accused have been given double life sentences. Earlier, the trial court had convicted people who had not been charged with conspiracy. The court said it was a brutal murder. The message of the court is that no one should be killed for saying politics," - Rema said.

"Not all the accused are believed to have been brought to justice. So I will approach the Supreme Court. Little has been revealed about the conspiracy. The conspiracy needs to be fully exposed," she added.

Meanwhile, KK Krishnan and Jyothi Babu, who were newly found guilty in the TP Chandrasekharan murder case, were sentenced to life imprisonment. Accused one to five and the seventh accused have been awarded double life imprisonment. Earlier they were sentenced to life imprisonment. The High Court has also clarified that the accused should not be given a relaxation of sentence before the 20 years have passed. The judgment was given by a bench comprising Justice AK Jayasankaran Nambiar and Justice Kauser Edappagath.
