Ali always tries to sign applications submitted by the poor and needy. If there are any technical issues, he would explain the reason compassionately. He has placed half a dozen chairs for those who come before him with applications. If someone hesitated to sit before him, he would ask them to sit by pointing out the board which reads, 'This office is yours. The officer is just one of you. The service is not our generosity. It is your right. There is no need for middlemen in availing service.'

Ali says that he can read the tears and problems of the large percentage of poor and middle-class people from the applications. Ali's wife is Zeenath. Children- Althaf Ali, Nafeesath Rufaida, Fathimat Nusaiba and Muhammed Amin.
